This was my world.
The sun used to set in the in the east,
And the second sun would rise in the west.
It would shine,
It would sparkle,
Like a million white stars at night.
The silver moon would create the most perfect illusion,
The greatest quicksilver lake,
As the blossoms swayed in an eclipse breeze.
The red grass would crunch beneath our feet,
As everyone ran ignorantly through the endless fields.
This was my world.
Until it died in a burning fire of rage and misery.
Until it cried throughout the universe.
Until the shouts rang so clear in my head that I tore my eardrums out.
One.
Two.
Three.
Four.
And the bomb went tick tock.
And the clock went stop.
Until the nightmare ended,
And a little part of me died.
This could have been my world.
All blissful and happy.
Married forever,
'til death do us part.
Friends all around me,
Enemies that I would redeem.
This could have been my world,
Until I ended it.
This is my world.
The misery and the guilt,
The hole they left,
And all the pain that filled it.
The day it burned was the day I burned with it.
The day they died was the day a little part of me died with them.
And the day they cried,
The day they screamed,
Was the day I lost my soul.
Something could have been my world,
Something could have been my future,
The could-have been with the never-weres and the meanwhiles.
Something could have been,
But now I'll never know.

Eyes
Fire
Burning everywhere
all around the man
Never shall I forget
the way his eyes burned
into mine
as if
he could
see right
through me
into
my
soul
Those tense burning eyes
that have seen more
then a thousand lifetimes
burned right through me
They told stories of a world
lost in flames
Lost for all eternity
never to return
As the gigantic flames
leaping toward
the silent blue sky
I looked into his
eyes of night
And the heat of his
gaze became
unbearable
turning my dreams to dust
But out of the dust
ashes and smoke
rose new dreams
a new future
Traveling through
space and time
in a
little

WhyWeLoveDoctorWho - Series 2
Why we love Doctor Who Series 2:
Because the Tenth Doctor has new teeth.
Because of course we missed him.
Because he knows the Lion King.
Because he recognises the taste of A Positive blood.
Because he's rude and not ginger.
Because Jackie needs to shut up.
Because it's very British to have tea when the world's coming to an end.
Because everyone knows who Harriet Jones is.
Because he's certainly got a gob.
Because Jackie says the name of the show just before the opening titles run. Cheesy.
Because of the apple-grass.
Because he's slim... and just a little bit foxy.
Because he's still got it.
Because he's beating out a samba.
